6. The Woodland

The “woodland” is the local name for a lightly wooded Melaleuca grove – situated next to a mower access track off the main track near the Furness bridge.

There is a convenient log there for a break – ideally positioned so you can see the creek both facing to the east, and, to the south – hopefully, the seat won’t already be taken.



The rumour that Monet took his inspiration for the bridge in his Water Lilies series is NOT true – the bridge was only built in 2010 but Claude Monet passed away in 1926!
