Working Bee – Sunday, 28th July, 2013

Our luck continued with yet another good day for our working bee – some would say it was unseasonally warm!  National Tree Day was celebrated with several tree and shrub plantings – though most of our morning was spent weeding and cleaning up the northeast corner of  Furness Park ie north of the bridge.

Attendance was reasonably good given it is the time of year when many people escape to warmer climes.  We were pleased that some Friends could attend and there was an unusual number of junior weeders helping out mum or dad.

If you couldn’t make the day, the next one is planned for August 25th.
