Not a Bunyip!

Contrary to the rumour circulating in the community, a bunyip has NOT washed up on the creek bank near the bowling club.  Rather, this is a pile of “Wandering Trad” seasoned with some Angled Onion weed removed from a nearby revegetation area by the Monday Weeding group (which seems to have launched a take-over bid for Thursdays too!).   Incidentally, almost all of this very impressive weed pile was moved there by one woman!

“Wandering Trad” is an environmental weed which has invaded several areas within the park.  It tends to proliferate along waterways as broken plant fragments readily take root in moist soil.  It also spreads easily from garden waste dumped (illegally) in the park.
