Working Bee – Sunday, 19th August, 2012

Time: 09:00 – midday.

The Working Bee on Sunday, 19th August, 2012 consisted mainly of planting out previously weeded areas in the northern part of Furness Park adjacent to the southern end of Gardenia Street:

Grasses, lomandras, smaller shrubs (such as correas and olearias) and juncus represented the main plantings.  Although worker-bee numbers were a little down on usual, the conditions were fine and we were treated to serenades by spinebills and possibly a Golden Whistler (heard but not seen) who already seem to like the area and will appreciate our efforts in due course.
