March/April park highlights

Buff-banded Rails

Visitors to the park have been delighted to glimpse pairs of Buff-banded Rails creeping quietly through the undergrowth – sometimes accompanied by young.  These are the first sightings of this species for decades !

Bird Survey

The first ever bird survey in the Blackburn Creeklands will be conducted on Saturday, April 28th at 7:30 AM – meeting outside the Scout Hall in Pakenham Street.

Not good at identifying birds ?  Doesn’t matter – your help is needed to spot them – not necessarily identify them.   The survey will be beginner friendly.
